“the melding of roads”
They stay with me.
In my small decisions.
Of the way I steady myself.
On work’s sweat each day.
What the years removed,
mind still keeps:
a line resurfacing,
learning that took its time,
that hidden lane I still take.
Their lives were brief
in that liminal vastness.
Something of them lingers.
May what was good in them
move forward through me.
Without weight of burden.
A steady continuation.
When they return to thought,
may gratitude stand first—
for that stretch we shared,
for the way their road
now melds into mine.

In vagueness of memory's fog I feel the frustration of learning speech, first the understanding of meanings to sounds then the replication of them and how it is to wish to say something that one has no word for. Yet over time roads of understanding and meaning merge. Just rambling Cryptic this poem dug up loose thoughts.
And that can be an excellent digging up as it is here! Thanks dear friend 🙏🏻🕊️
Always a pleasure my friend
