When all else fails in love
and the wind of compassion
gently sweeps the petals of time
onto the gutter of life's regrets
desperately hoping they will run down the drain
with autumn's rain
until they arrive into the tempestuous ocean
shaken up and tossed by the great waves
until the petals are gone, never to be found
ever knowing that time
has moved onto a new and more hopeful chapter
where the bridges will never be burned
and those you knew loved you
never question your whereabouts
because somehow...
you managed to find your way home.

good write
A poem full of metaphor in a stormy world. Painted in emotional colors it speaks grief, regret and letting go. Nicely done my friend
Tremendous work. Vivid and sharp, sweet Teddy.
Lovely to see you Thomas, thank you for coming by. 🌹
Is this a love lost, maybe one not spoken about.
The passage of time takes us all on that journey.
Hopefully we do make it home.
Families break up when a person dies especially when they are young, grief really does the craziest things and turns us into what we never thought we could b come. it happened in my family and now it's happening in that of my husband. We can only hope we find our way home. 🌹 Thank dear Paul, for your compassion. 💜
Oh, Teddy, there's something deeply comforting about knowing that, even after everything life puts us through, we can still find a place where we're welcomed. This touched me, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
You have read the heart of this. Hopefully it's true but it takes a lot after grief to be able to get there. Thank you my dear Tristan. 🌹 💜 🤗
