I chase you like a child chasing bubbles in the air.
Within sight, but far from my reach.
I have hope that I will catch you,
Or that you will descend down into my hands
But a bubble never floats down
They only keep drifting away
And If I were to catch you, you would disappear

What a delightful metaphor the vision of a child chasing a bubble is innocent and joyful. So should love be. The final line speaks to the ephemeral nature of the relationship, dreamlike nonexistent but in the soap film of the dream and mind that would pop upon awakening. A most lovely write and a fave
