An Array Of Colors
A Painter Guiding His Brush
Blending In Slow Motions
Brushing Gold Into Rose
Then Letting It Fade
As The First Stars Begin To Show
She Rises In The East
He Waits In The West
They Meet In The Middle
A Brief Embrace Of Light
Before She Slips Away
To Rest

- Comment from author about the poem: I’ve always loved making poems around sunsets. To me this poem is about the beauty of nature, and I believe that sunsets are a big contributor. In my head I believe for there to be a painter deciding what the next sunset would look like, his new portrait in a way. Whether it’s simple or something someone could look up and say “I should take a picture of this.” There has to be at least one sunset photo in your phone, and whichever it is would be his proudest work. While it may not last forever, the artist is always stirring up ideas.
