What remains

Pei

I have found a heart of gold.

I have found a heart

that even a lifetime is not sufficient

to encounter a similar one.

If April is really the cruellest month

I must confirm,

‘cause a deep mourning within

is scattering my soul.

A wound that will last forever,

vanishing times

in which our eyes crossed,

our hearts rejoiced,

our pinkies touched lightly.

Smiling eyes, craving closeness

but fear of it likewise.

Emotions run deep, but

what remains is just

a memory of vanishing moments

in which two different, but

at the same time resembling souls

stumbled on each other,

stayed side by side

for a while, like siblings

who then take their own way.

I just want to thank You. Thank You

God, from the bottom of my heart.

Please,

I make You a request that

You cannot refuse to me.

I ask You to guard

and protect the warm-hearted,

unforgettable, precious souls

that still exist in this cruel world.

May all blessings come upon him,

‘cause he has great quests to accomplish.

The mountains, the river, the lake,

wild birds, the stars, the Moon,

every particle of this macrocosm

may help him find his way.

A noble warrior You gave us.

Not to be wasted

by indifferent creatures, but

to be cared for, as he does

through his gentle nature.
