I hate this town
I hate this city
I hate these faces
I hate this country
I hate this body
My soul is trapped in
I hate the past
And I hate the present
I think about death and I think about life
And neither one appeals me
I’d sing a song, I can’t remember how it went
I’d cry a river, but my eyes won't wet
I’d write a poem, but I can’t find the words
I’d scream storms, but my voice is dead
Can’t you see that despite it all
I try my best to try my best
I gave you my whole heart
I gave you my soul
It’s enough to drive me crazy
You’re a whole half of me
And you don’t even know
Who I am
I’m ashamed of my face
And my passions and fears
I’m ashamed of my grades
And my laugh and my tears
And I swear in my heart
I'm still the kid that you loved
And i’m sorry my body
Doesn't act like my soul
And for once I wish things would go my way
For once I wish you’d see me
For once I wish you’d love me at my lowest
Like you loved me at my best
Maybe in another world you saw me
And God saved me before I slipped too deep
And you told me love is unconditional
You taught me to find love in life
I hate this town
I hate this city
I hate these faces
I hate this country
All roads lead back to
Tears down my neck
This feeling always comes back
Maybe it never left
My hands shaking with rage
My soul distant and encaged
My body working on its own
Where did I go?
