Love Forever

Anthony Hanible

You are the rhyme

Inside my vein

The summer rain

The sweetest pain

The midnight glow

The ember's rise

The hidden truth

Behind my eyes

When worlds collide

When stars retreat

Your heartbeat turns

My loss to heat

When fear appears

When faith grows thin

Your love becomes

The light within

Through ache and wake

Through bend and break

Through every risk

That hearts can take

I chase your soul

You chase mine too

Like morning dew

That clings anew

No chain can drain

No tide divide

No grave can hide

What lives inside

For love like this

Was heaven sent

Too vast for clocks

Too deep for end

Your voice employs

A sacred spell

That lifts me high

From every hell

Your touch is such

A tender thread

It sews the dreams

Inside my head

The moon may fade

The seas may sever

The skies may tear

The storms endeavor

Yet all I am

And all I'll ever

Belongs to you

Love forever

Soul to soul

Glow to glow

River to river

Flow to flow

Near or apart

Whatever weather

My heart beats your name

Forever together.

There is a charm in the sound of the rhyme in this poem stanzas like:
    "No chain can drain
    No tide divide
    No grave can hide
    What lives inside"
Make more sense to the ear than the brain and whole last portion of this poem with its weaving of rhyme is hypnotic and enchanting. Nicely done Anthony
