Beasts have no beauty

Maui_Puni3109

I don’t understand how you don’t see a monster when you face me,

How you see a person.

Hearing you say words I’ve never heard from anyone else melts my beast-like heart but is hard to believe.

People shrink away,

Hide from the big scary monster,

But not you.

You once were like them,

Now your inner beauty touches my soul like no other.

The thought of you being hurt by someone like me only proves the scared right,

I’m nothing but a monster,

But you see someone who’s hurt,

That I will never understand,

How you can see all of this and choose to stay
