I used to think
growing up meant having answers,
knowing where to go,
and never looking back
at the person I used to be.
But life has taught me
that sometimes we grow
by admitting we are lost,
by letting old dreams rest,
by learning to forgive ourselves
for the things we didn't know.
I am not who I was yesterday,
and tomorrow, I will change again.
Some parts of me are healing,
some are still learning,
and some are simply asking
to be understood.
Perhaps that is enough.
I don't need to have my whole life figured out
to deserve a little peace.
I don't need to be the strongest person in the room
to prove that I am brave.
Today, I want to make peace
with the unfinished parts of me,
to stop treating every mistake
like a permanent definition
of who I am.
Because I am not just
the things I have lost,
the chances I have missed,
or the days I could barely get through.
I am also the kindness I still carry,
the dreams I still dare to hold,
and the quiet courage
it takes to begin again.
Maybe becoming yourself
is not about finding someone new,
but learning to accept
the person who stayed
through everything you've been through.

What an existential discovery and growth in itself. A lovely write Dev and very nicely done
In a way it feels definitely relatable.
