KHAMOSH! (SILENCE!)
Zafor Pathan
The Revolutionary Voice of Humanity
Silence! Not another word from you—
You rotten, corrupt, soulless beast of society!
You have devoured the state to fill your belly,
And throttled justice and morality.
You never treated human beings as human,
Nor did you care to safeguard humanity.
You wretched scoundrel, you worthless piece of trash—
You vile sinner, you despicable outcast!
Silence! Not another word from you—
You kill a person, then ask, “Whom did I kill?”
Feigning compassion for the people, you spew empty words;
You feed on the people’s blood, then ask, “What did I eat?”
You fiend, you foul and loathsome creature, you heap of filth!
You starve the weak and frail, yet parade in respectable attire.
Silence! Not another word from you—
At the nation’s hour of crisis, you flee to foreign lands.
You pile mountain upon mountain of hatred and violence;
You chew up the law itself, your greedy eyes ever lusting for more.
You despicable wretch, you insignificant creature, you savage beast!
Though you dwell in the highest halls of power,
You remain utterly contemptible.
Be silent! Utterly silent! Not another word from you!
You are a disgrace upon this Earth—
A vile sinner, accursed and condemned!

- Comment from author about the poem: A Personal Message from the Poet “KHAMOSH! (SILENCE!)” is a poem of protest against corruption, hypocrisy, abuse of power, and the betrayal of humanity. Through these powerful words, I challenge those who exploit ordinary people, suppress justice, disregard human dignity, and hide their misdeeds behind positions of authority. This poem is not written to promote hatred, but to raise the voice of conscience against injustice. I believe that no position, power, or privilege should place anyone above justice and moral responsibility. As a poet, writer, and the Revolutionary Voice of Humanity, I believe that poetry must do more than entertain—it must awaken minds, question wrongdoing, and stand beside the oppressed. My hope is that readers across the world will hear, through this poem, the uncompromising voice of truth and humanity. Zafor Pathan *The Revolutionary Voice of Humanity*
