Man has visited the silvery moon
And may even land on fiery Mars very soon
He has conquered earth
He has conquered space
But
Now he is part of the frenzied rat-race
Man had made steamers and cars
With efficient tools, he has spied on the stars
He has opened many doors
By being always on his toes
Yet
Has not ended caste-bars or wars
Man has with sheer determination
Allied with hard work and deliberation
Built up nations
With great jubilation
But
Has not increased personal relations
Man has made submarines and trains
He has widened his whole domain
He has roamed the lands
He has crossed the seas
Yet
Never with himself is he at ease
Man has done all that he can
To fill with material things – his life span
He has understood power
He has conquered pelf
Yet
Never has explored or understood himself
Man has changed from uncouth to couth
He has found the secret of perpetual youth
He has through action
Found satisfaction
But
Yet is ignorant of life’s inner truths

BRAVA 👏 a magnificent piece of poetry a very loud truth of what we are capable in achieving What a joy it must have been to see Niel Armstrong walk on the moon for so many reasons including optics and technology as well as space adventure and research, I suspect if he saw the world as it is now he would be incredibly disappointed. So much reflection to gain from this dear Safina, of i may call you by your name? and kudos on the rhyme 💜
