what a girl like me would do
to see through the eyes of a boy
a simple life, irises bright with pride
where the world owes me everything
and nothing, would i
i would walk around
with a chip on my shoulder
my head held high
pretending that nobody sees
how empty i am inside
inside, i long for approval
from girls and from boys alike
i treat them like temporary objects
made to fulfill my needs
only to discard them
in the end
in the end
solitude awaits me
this i know
what a boy like me would do
to see through the eyes of a girl
a whimsical life, a heart full of lies
where the world owes me nothing
and everything, would i
i would walk around
with a weapon inside my purse
my head held low
pretending that nobody sees
how frightened i am inside
inside i long for refuge
from boys and from girls alike
instead of being seen as an object
made to fulfill their needs
only to be discarded
in the end
in the end
solitude awaits me
for this i hope

I love both of the perspectives of wanting each otherโs life despite both sides not having it any easy. This is very well written, great job :))
