The sun came alive and it vomited bread
Which fell from the sky on to college kids heads
Out in the field they were having a party
Dancing and prancing and loving their hotties
They all spat out some leaches
Their feet turned to cement
And all their phones dissolved into lint
Seth buried his face into Emma's tits
Which melted into ash and transformed into fists
That rolled on the grass and flew up to the moon
One stuck to Seth's nose a honey soaked spoon!
Then their feet turned to normal
And they all ran to hide
From Mr. Sepulchre who drove up in his Hyundai
He yelled to the moon
“Well, what do you think?!?!”
The moon said “I don't have any thoughts because I left them in your sink!”
Then behind the bush Seth started to cry
As out of his ears poured blood
And mashed pumpkin pie
Emma ate up the red mush and her eyes turned to stone
And Seth saw upon them two kings on their thrones
Then the mouths on her shoulders
Recited the Bible
While Seth's d*ck spewed out acid
And substances liable
His hair sung a song of a sad lonely man
And then he spoke into existence
Green demon s*men that drenched Emma's hand

- Comment from author about the poem: In the poem, Seth buries his face into Emma's chest seeking safety, comfort, or a literal "refuge" from the chaos falling from the sky (the bread, cement feet, dissolved phones). However, that sanctuary instantly backfires and transforms into something bizarre and dangerous (melting into ash and fists). Using "Refuge" as the title highlights that contrast—he looks for a safe haven, but finds more horror instead.
