Sometimes my Raven, he'd look me straight in the eyes
he'd look so deep into my soul that I'd just stare in silence
even if I were to open my mouth, he would hush me
we'd sit for what seemed hours some days
eventually he'd fly away
but not before I was clam and I had stopped shaking
and everytime, every single time
I'd be left feeling safe and strong
in the knowledge that he had spoken to my grief
and I?
well I'd know,
that I've carried a crowd in my quiet.

A somber write that speaks to mood and self reflection. I may be wrong but I read it as calm instead of clam. To me the raven is a calming agent and does not leave until this is accomplished. The line that hit me the hardest was the last one "That I'd carried the crowd in my quiet" this line is very poetic and gets a fave
