Red Sky in the Morning
Frame this.
It’s ominous,
whichever way you gaze on it.
The sky a flood of orange blood,
the streets are amber rivers.
Hang this picture on the walls
of every hide you visit.
Show it to your enemies,
tell it to your children.
Spread the image far and wide,
stand before this titian tide
and let its warning carry.
Speak its word with gasping breath,
cry until your waiting death,
the gathered storms won’t tarry.
