Sunshine falls
Anything but vain
Across the rooftops
To the vale
Where sheperds keep
Their milling flock
The kitchen awakens
Cup and clock.
Kettle whistles
Plates are moved
To the table
Breakfast soon
Bacon sizzles
Eggs are fried
The day it rubs
Its sleepy eyes.
Children now
In idle chatter
Smiles and laughter
Quiet to shatter
Mother frowns
Dont be late for school
A family fills
The morning room.
