The Golden Rule
(For Kids and Adults Alike!)
The holy rule I love so much,
It’s dear to my heart and I will obey it thus.
What Jesus spoke upon that plain:
“Whatever you wish men to do unto you,
Do to them the same.”
I wish that all obeyed this rule,
Because breaking it caused me so much pain.
To treat a soul with gentle grace,
To look kindness in the face,
Is to build a bridge where shadows fall,
And answer when the weary call.
For every word of bitter sting,
Leaves a heavy weight to cling;
And every hand extended wide,
Keeps a quiet warmth inside.
So walk the path you wish to find,
Be gentle, patient, true, and kind;
For how you treat another heart,
Is where your own peace has to start.

I too love this admonition and wish that all would adhere to its call. Nicely written my friend
Thanks very much for that and I'm glad you think that way.
