You tell me who you see in me,
A version I can't quite believe.
You speak of light, I only feel gray,
You see the dawn in my dark day.
You say I'm strong, I feel so small,
You see me standing, after the fall.
You call me worthy, kind, and true,
I wish I saw me like you do.
You see a heart both soft and brave,
A love worth giving, a soul to save.
I only hear the doubt in me,
But you show love that sets me free.
So tell me again, say it slow,
The woman you already know.
And maybe someday I will see,
The me you see inside of me.
