Tune: St Helen [Series: Hymns with Saints Tunes 12]
('Lord enthroned in heavenly splendour')
Psalm 75
********************
Unto you, O God, do we give
Thanks, you the Lord ever live
For your name is near, your wondrous
Works declare, made known to us
When He shall receive the people
He will righteously judge all
The earth and all inhabitants
Be dissolved, if He from hence
Bears not up earth's pillars, it stands
By work of His mighty hand
He said to the boastful, Deal not
Boastfully, give a fair lot
He said to the wicked, Lift not
Your head proudly, as if got
All things here of your own doing
For the Lord upraisings bring
Not from east, west, south, nor the north
But from the Lord, give Him worth
God is the judge, He sets down one
Sets up another, 'tis done
For in His hand there a cup be
Wine red, full of mixture, see
He pours it out, but the wicked
Drink the dregs, that be their stead
But I will will declare for ever
Sing praises to God, never
Cease, for all the wicked's strength He
Will cut off, the no more be
But the strength of the righteous shall
Be exalted, they shall tell

I wonder how many of the wicked singing this hymn would put down their hymnal with the last line. Good one Orchi
Thank you SB. You may have commented before I finished! There may be a new 'last line' here now.
You were right my friend I kind of liked it that way though. A good read my friend
