And when love arrived
Can’t see it right, can’t feel it well
Burnt to crisp, I was left alive
Like finding a daisy grow in hell
And I still beg and plead
For it to stay and bloom
I offer my mutilated shade
Try and rescue it from the doom
And I split, so it doesn’t
And I break, so it stays
Every fibre of my mind revolts
But something in me, still prays
