Because She Haunts My Dreams

Teddy.15

Sometimes I feel

as if I'm living in a parallel world?

existing only to be used

see my brain doesn’t rest

she haunts my dreams

and the moments in these dreams

are to be played out

and my 3 am wakeup calls

well, these wakeup calls really piss me off

because she knows I can’t get back to sleep

she knows, I then dwell for hours under my sheets

going round and round in my head

the very visions of what I’ve just dreamed

sometimes she shows kind things

for example,

beautiful reminders of my Tuscan view

she also shares emotion

when it’s positive I wake with an abundance of overwhelming joy

but when they are bleak, I’m left gasping for breath

I know what’s going to happen

because I’ve seen it in my dreams

every time I close my eyes to go to sleep

I’m aware of what the night could bring

I’m aware of what my muse can deliver

because, she haunts my dreams.
