Tune: St Hilda [Series: Hymns to Saints Tunes 14]
('O happy band of pilgrims')
Psalm 57 v.5-11
**********
Be exalted, God, above
The heavens, your truth, love
Be unt us, your glory
Be above all earth free
Enemy has prepared net
For me, but not caught yet
My soul is bowed down, oppressed
Seeking for quiet and rest
Enemy has digged for me
A pit, that I fall, see
They have themselves fallen in
It, they wicked and sin
My heart is fixed, god, steadfast
I will sing, troubles last
A while, but you my help be
I give you praise, glory
Awake, tongues and instruments
I will praise you, I sense
Your presence, for your mercy
Great to the heavens be
And your truth great to the clouds
Surrounded as enshrouds
Are w with them, exalted
God be, our living Head
