I might end up on the side of the road.
Where the deer and prey lay.
Carcasses picked clean to the bone.
If I keep on like this, will I grow old?
Or will I end up on the wrong side of the road?
The traffic coming at me.
I'd be alone.
My body freezing over,
as I'm left in the cold.
I might end up on the side of the road.
The driver passing by,
left haunted by the frost on my bones.
The rearview mirror thawed enough,
to see the vultures as they gloat.
Lost in the sight,
attention postponed,
the driver might startle to the wrong lane,
and veer off the side of the road.

Always wondered what side of the road was safest. They taught walk with the traffic the same with a bike but then one does not see what is coming and so the other side seems safer. But do I want to see what is coming from which I can not escape and driving no safer. A great read my friend
