I won’t give a person a chance because I’m loyal to a thought
It’d feel like betraying myself settling for good when I know there’s the best to be sought
And will I ever be by her side, well, probably not
But how could I fall for somebody else when it was you who showed me how to after I forgot?
I won’t build upon reality for the sake of a dream
You can speak of oceans, but I won’t believe in anything greater than this stream
And this, as madness, may seem
But I’m too tired and impatient for lukewarm, shallows or mediocre, I want fire, drowning and extreme
I’d rather gaze at the stars I can’t touch than seize the sun
I won’t stroll a short way to a promise, an unknown distance to an unknown place I’d rather run
My soul can’t handle potential, I’m done with having fun
I’ll wait for nothing forever, if it’s not her, it won’t be anyone
