The countdown ticks, the clock begins,
No promises I can keep to friends.
October hits and lasts til June,
You'll hear me howling at the moon.
I'm yelling at the TV, loud and clear —
"Ref, are you blind? Can you see from there?!"
Going to the man aquarium,
Makes my heart go titter-patter — delirium!
That beautiful ice under the light,
Oh, what a pure and perfect sight.
It's the only time my man gets jealous, it's true,
'Cause my eyes aren't on him — they're glued to the blue.
So if you didn't know, let me make it clear:
It's hockey season — my favourite time of year!
It's Hockey Season (Girl's Version)
Okay, listen — the countdown ticks,
Sorry friends, I'm busy til June — no tricks!
October hits and I'm over the moon,
It's hockey season, I'm gonna swoon!
I'm yelling at the TV in my jersey, loud and clear,
"REF?! Are you BLIND?! HELLO?! Right HERE!"
Take me to the man aquarium, please,
My heart goes pitter-pat, weak in the knees.
That fresh ice shining under the light?
Beautiful boys flying — what a sight!
My man gets SO jealous, it's actually true,
'Cause babe, my eyes aren't on you —
They're glued to the blue!
So just in case I wasn't clear —
It's hockey season, my FAVOURITE time of year!
