OLD FOOL

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

The light breeze
In a familiar way
No need for words
No need to say
Lifts the sleeve
You brought to face
To wipe a tear
From this place.

Cotton dress
To keep you cool
Water moves
From brook to pool
The Summer sun
Insects to air
I remember you
Standing there.

The daydream
That repeats itself
Your photos once
Upon the shelf
Your perfume sweet
Within the room
Remembered still
By an old fool.
