THE LETTING GO HOURS ( 2AM - 5AM )

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

Shallow breath
A dim blue light
A nurses face
To hourly check
All is free
To move around
Hospital corridors
Spirits abound.

Its said that angels
And death he moves
Upon silent wings
And quiet shoes
To take the dying
Old and frail
Collection time
Beyond the veil.

Folklore tales
Mystery or myth
A cold hand laid
A final kiss
Upon the forehead
Tightening skin
The final journey
To begin.

I've known those moments when silent spirits draw near ,free from the chains of life...
