Shift in the tides of H2O and MeOH
As I side, and align, more with that
Which I was meant to do, in lieu
Of all that distracts in this ride — the boat, it shakes
The poems are great, the stars in the sky
And they've gotten me far; the horizon
Is now of watercolor mandarin
I must say goodbye
To this idea of idolized purpose, of poise
When my purpose
May not entirely be with the arts — in fact, barely
The science: The chemistry, physics, mathematical analysis
It all calls in waves of gamma, or alpha, or beta
Reaching for me and the now-soaking lark: ground-dweller dove dark
Through patterns and equations
Marked by poetic annotations, I find
The azeotrope of which I must attempt to separate

- Comment from author about the poem: I write this in my Process Controls class as I attempt to get through my last semester of college as a studying engineer, a lot of these concepts directly correlate to my classes and what I have learned. Only a few things though.
