Love is my intention
The compass of my soul
The whisper through the storm
The force that makes me whole
Not possession
Not pride
Not a place
For truth to hide
Love is the hand extended
When the road is dark and long
The gentle voice reminding me
That broken hearts stay strong
Love is patient rain
Upon a thirsty field
A quiet strength that never asks
Another heart to yield
Love is my intention
When morning greets my eyes
When shadows gather at my feet
When hope begins to rise
It lives within forgiveness
Within mercy
Grace
And care
A sacred flame that teaches me
That heaven can start here
So if my words are ever lost
Or my footsteps drift astray
Let love remain my truest guide
And lead me back each day
For wealth may fade
And time may leave
And seasons come and go
But love is my intention
The deepest truth I know
