six minutes of time;
just six small minutes—
an oblation of music—
of your
time—
conspicuously spent
wishing i hadn’t asked
for the bother
at all.
a reminder
for next
time.

A powerful poem, well written. Your poem addresses the poet's feelings about asking for “six minutes” of someone’s time, which leads to a sense of guilt or disappointment. It captures the tension between the desire for connection and the realization that such requests can sometimes be burdensome to others.
One tenth of an hour, the length of a long song. Other than that you got me my friend.
