cry of the black

newman poem

I may be black but I am created by the almighty, which created you.

Why judge me because of the color of my skin, why oppress my black brothers and sisters.

I can see there fears and hear there cries but no one seems to care.

They have taken the chains and shackles from off our feet but want to enslave our mind.

I see your fears and hear your cries but one day you will cry no more for your sorrows but for joy.
