DREAM OF ANGELS

HUGHESROBERT

at first I was afraid and hid my eyes

below me lay green fields and I realised I was naked

tall trees bowed before me while a cool wind mopped my brow

rivers sparkled as unfettered ribbons..... I was alone it semed

alone except for my thoughts what would it be like I wondered

to run as a raindrop does on glass or wait patiently as a flower

does in early spring to stretch its neck and offer its glory to the bee

if I could realise these things then perhaps I may not dream.
