Innocence spills out
As reality creeps in
Eyes kept shut tight
Wishing away what has been seen
So life is not a fairytale
And injustice is not a myth
That picture of a magic world
It does no longer fit

Great poem
Hi Fran, I really enjoyed your poem, It flows well and has good rhyme and rhythm about it. It always surprises me when so few words ( well written like this ) can say so much. Nicely done
