Them, Me

Fran

They say ‘Stay calm’

They say ‘Don’t start’

As they command me around

They poke holes in my heart

Who are they to think

They can think on my behalf

They do not see who I am

They do not hear what I say

When interacting with me

They are blind, they are deaf

They say ‘Act nice’

They say ‘Be good’

If I could switch them of

Be sure that I would

I am not accepting

Such a treatment from no one

Maybe they don’t mean bad

Either way

I am done
