Day in, Day out instances galore
Material things attracts all folks with or without lore
Some chase riches, some power
Others are still worse with inbuilt beastly tower
Morning and evening a different veil
To mask the ugly inside tale
Desperately many try
And make the human inside cry
Delusions are what we lead life with
Hypocrisy, jealousy hidden beneath
Living a life of disgrace
Fancy names like modernity, practicality to chase
Human needs and desires are never end
Let’s pray the Lord that our loved ones should never bend

- Comment from author about the poem: Hypocrisy, jealousy and a mad pursuit for materialistic possessions are what we see around us most of the times. In this poem I tried to express my concern towards this kind of pretentious life. In the name of modernity many youth are falling a prey to vices, it is surely an alarming situation to parents. It is an offering from my side to the supreme power ruling over all of us. We as human being should rely and have faith in almighty who would help all our near and dear ones sail through our life smoothly.
