Is Love Short Lived?

Its three years since we fell in love

In the first year it seemed

That our love was growing every day

That this was the person

 With whom I would spend

The rest of my life

We showered gifts on each other

We heaped praises on each other

There were only things to admire

And life just seemed perfect

It took the second year

To realize that

We had differences

At first the differences

Were expressed politely

And when we did not understand

Each other,

Differences became arguments

And arguments became fights

And fights were sometimes resolved

And sometimes not

But we began to grow apart.

Now on the eve of our

Third Year together

We wonder-will it last another year?

 Oh! Is love so short lived?
