The Kiss

The Kiss

It began with a heartbeat

And ended with one,

An emotion, too strong to defeat

That your eyes had spun.

Senses had surrendered to your Laps.

Thought a Dream, my eyes and they closed.

Hands longed for your touch, or perhaps

To reason they had disobeyed and opposed.

My Heartbeats broke my bones,

It wanted to be released.

My Lips glorified the pain, with a moan,

Whispering the words it pleased.

The Body stayed mine, but the soul yours,

It Witnessed the Chaos of emotions

Like a storm, raging beneath my skin.

Such that I forgot who I was,

To remember whom I was with

The climax to the chaos was close

In the path I had chose

It lay hidden between your lips.

Completed by one gesture, A Kiss
