The river gives man water
To drink and to plant the crops
And fish to eat
The clouds give us rain
Plants give us flower
Fruit, food, wood and shade
The sun gives light and heat
The stars and the moon beautiful light
The cows give milk, butter, ghee and cheese
The goat gives milk and mutton
Even the hen gives chicken and egg
Man cuts plants, kills animals
For his own survival
What does he give back to nature
Which gives him so much
And his fellow beings---
Nothing but pollution
And exploitation
