Humans and This World

nair36

Cain killing his brother Abel

Humans killing other humans

What happened to this world?

Noah building his ark

And saving his family

Humans saving other humans

Jesus dying for us all

For love

Humans loving other humans

Humans and this world

Humans killing

Humans saving

Humans loving

Humans being humans

Why do we fight with each other?

Why do we slaughter our brothers and sisters?

Why do we love?

Why do we do what we want?

And not what we need

Because we are human

There are so many questions to ask

So many things to be done

But only so many questions may be answered

And only a few things must be done

By humans

We kill

Save

And love

If humans are the root of all evil

How big is the tree?

What sprouts from it?

Does love sprout?

There’s a little evil in all of us

But there’s love as well

More for some

And less for others

Why is it so difficult to understand?

What is good?

And what is evil?

How can we be sure?

What right really is

God knows

Hopefully a little of his wisdom will rain down on this world

Hopefully a little bit of righteousness will breeze through my soul

Hopefully I can be the human God wanted me to be

The same can be said for others

Others who seek

Others who shall receive

Humans and this world…
