The reign of terror

SauravRHS

I see the world of tomorrow…

The world will be destroyed,

When terror will reign

And people will blood bath:

So terrorists will be sayin’

There will be blood sport of people;

Dead bodies will be leashed

They’ll be cleaned up by the sweeper,

And all the houses will be sealed.

Man against man!

And country against country!

People against people!

And religion against religion!

Rapid gunshots will be heard,

As well as bomb blasts and grenades;

The cries of the people unconcerned

As the nature’s beauty fades.

Dead bodies will be hanged on roadside trees

After death too there will be no peace;

The earth will be bloodstained

The terror will never cease.

All happiness will be cleaned,

Millions of people will die;

Everything will be ruined

And there will be no one left to cry.

Man against man!

Son against father!

Brother against brother!

And all families will be shattered!

I am horrified but I keep on looking…

Here the story does not end,

As we all know that truth always wins

So the story will repeat itself;

As peace forgives all the sins.

The violence will corrupt the men

The peace will bring them back.

The power of corruption will slowly diminish.

And the truth will have the terrorists sacked!

Man will join hands with man,

Father will forgive his son

Brothers will start loving each other

As the terror will come down to none.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This piece was written by me when I was younger, maybe twelve or thirteen. It was written on the aftermath of the Mumbai terror attacks which moved me deeply and profoundly. Since, at that time, I was not that proficient in my language, this poetry is not as beautiful as the others. Nonetheless, it sends the message... The reign of terror!
