Burned by Words

Any

Watching for the warmth to cool, The intensity of the light to lose some heat. Feeling the loss of size by the swelling flames, That the energy you have left is beat. Walking through the blades of fire, Struggling to stay on their feet. With every step trying to lash at you, Trying to destroy you with ways of deceit. You think you see the exit, But boards are just crashing. Searching to save what you have left, Thinking of what you did to deserve fighting.
