Memories of Love Lost

Huzaidi Hashim

A mysterious melody

still haunts my loneliness

in silent memory

of a love I once lost

Visions of her presence

form shadows in my mind

a never ending story

of the smiles we left behind

Where do we begin

our search for salvation

when our hearts still bleed

in this God forsaken prison

Though the pain feels real

my heart must go on

waiting on a prayer

until my days are done

Very deep. I want to say that .. I think in way we never really loose anything or anyone, inside ourselves it becomes part of us and we exist forever even if we change, what is inside our feelings is still part of us and always will be.

Your sensitivity allows you to feel into the deeper meanings of my words. The prison refers to the perpetual state of being in love which make it ever more painful, especially when the person you love can no longer reciprocate for reasons beyond our control!
