- Comment from author about the poem: My mother is my best friend she inspires me to be better, to be Independent and get myself together first and foremost To be able to save money when I start working after my anticipated college graduation in 2014. She's taught me so much and is always there for me but she works and has her career and her life. I am working on finishing my 1st Bachelor's degree right now. When I was a little girl my mom worked a lot she is a nurse.
