In My Bright Garden

bigwolf

I awoke to see the rays of sunshine

Penetrating through my morning window

Reflecting off of my whitewashed walls

And dancing through the new air

Now, I have a vision for today

It is to relax and enjoy my time

As I sit out in my bright garden

All thoughts of the world simply fade

I breathe in the glorious day

Watching butterflies on a breeze

The birds only singing for me now

As my garden shares it's beauty

Shades of orange, red, yeliow and blues

A ground covered rainbow found

Using the soil beneath as a stage

The flowers become tiny graceful dancers

I am in no hurry for this to end

The world outside moving way too fast

People all racing to places

They would rather not be

While I feel safe and content in my bright garden

We all should have a place as beautiful as your garden where we go to enjoy the real important things in the world, like beauty and peace.
