In The Quiet Moment

baj-a

in the quiet moment

that lies between wake and sleep

that gauzy dreamlike state

of being nowhere, yet being everywhere

I lose my soul to the spirits

that haunt the world between

the one in which we exist as matter

and the one where they exist as thought.

faint whispers of nothing

caress my cheeks, touch my eyes,

lead me though light and fire.

it is there I understand

it is there I hold the meaning

of life and death as

we were meant to understand.

I am not afraid

as I drift in love and peace

in the quiet moment.
