If I Couldn't Hear Your Laughter

diamonddagger

If I couldn't hear your laughter
If I couldn't see the rising sun
If I couldn't smell the spring rain
I would miss half of life

If I couldn't see the rising sun
I would miss half the joy of the day
I would miss half of life
and be puzzled at my loss

I would miss half the joy of the day
I would never want that for anyone
and be puzzled at my loss
because I know what it is that I miss

I would never want that for anyone
to miss the subtle joys of earth
because I know what it is that I miss
the wonder of the senses are divine

To miss the subtle joys of earth
it would be unbelievably sad
the wonder of the senses are divine
use them wisely if you have them

It would be unbelievably sad
not to enjoy what you have
use them wisely if you have them
enjoy life to the fullest

Not to enjoy what you have
If I couldn't smell the spring rain
enjoy life to the fullest
If I couldn't hear your laughter.
