Dog Song

diamonddagger

he was a guitar picker
he played a lonely tune
he sat by his campfire
and played to the moon

his dog started to sing
it made him smile
it was a lovely duet
that carried for a mile

his tune became more lively
when his dog began his song
he didn't feel so lonely
and started to sing along

yip yip yip in dog song
and a great big howl at the moon
it wasn't long they were
fast asleep with morning coming soon
