The Sand Dancers

diamonddagger

there's a city on the coast of England
they called them the sand dancers
no one knows if they danced in the sand
but by the stories I come up with when
I conjure them in my head
I see a of group of hippies dancing in the sand
to some neat sound of some cool band
and further back and years gone by
people kicking their heels to
some highland song
so long ago
such a cheerful land
of fisher men
upon the shores of South Shields
