Rabbit Holes

I fantasize about the time of day I kill

you. Each daydream wanders through rabbit-

holes and I question, if the holes are bigger

than the ones in my brain.

You are incoherent, angry yet gentle hearted.

The reasons I yearn to get it

over with so soon.

Time moves forward while I backwards,

in the heat of the past

that melted rabbit holes –

I had your attributes.

And even as I sank into the holes

Nothing would peel away.

as dark and frightening as this poem is it is also beautiful in the flow of the words that defy the anger and darkness.
