The reason you bore me

Soumita Sarkar

The reason you bore me
and nurtured for months nine
all through, nobody could see
but the love for me shine.
Each moment a queer smile known
flashed on my dark face unseen
each move I made inside you was sown
I know it brought on your face sheen.
Standing as my only angel unwavering
pain all was for you easy to bear.
For you knew your genes replicating
your warmth and beauty with world to share.
